The Yoga Centre lies at the foothills of the Bukk National Park
in the peaceful mountain village of Bukkzserc, two hours drive East from
Budapest.
The region is renowned all over Europe for the remarkable healing properties
of its thermal baths and hot mountain springs. This is a true paradise for
nature lovers and an ideal setting to enjoy the morning meditation and
yoga session, where a wide variety of topics can be explored including: - Yoga
philosophy
- Tai Chi / Qui Gong
- Chanting
- Colour
and sound healing
The emphasis
of the week is on healthy living, wholesome food, and time to relax, let go
and recharge.
Each day can be as active or as laid back as one wishes.
The focus is
on unwinding at one's own pace with a strong emphasis on healthy living and general
nurturing of body, mind and soul. Most of all the aim is to have fun and
connect with the "inner child" in all of us.
The Yoga session:
Suitable for all levels of yoga, starts at 8.30am with
meditation and chanting that gently developes into yoga postures and deep
relaxation, specially designed to suit the requirements of the group. Ilonka
embraces the philosophy of yoga as a way of life. Her approach in class is
gentle with strong emphasis on the breath and inner self to enhance the bodys
own healing powers. The practice of breath movment flow increases maximum
mobility of the spine, freedom and wellbeing of the body, mind and spirit.
Lunch:
is prepared in the centre with fresh organic produce, sourced locally
from the mainly self-sufficient villagers who are still very much in touch
with their old traditional ways and folk customs.
The afternoon activities:
...are entirely optional, and include trips to the local
thermal baths, walking tours in
the forest, vineyards and mountains or simply just chilling out with Triona’s
on site holistic treatments (deep tissue massage, Indian head, reflexology,
aromatherapy and her special treat-hot stone massage).
The evening activities:
...include vegetarian or traditional Hungarian meals
(with a meat option) followed by
dance sessions with sacred circle dances from around the world, various dance
styles (Salsa, African, Irish set dancing and contemporary) or holistic
treatments.
